Amanda Green, Tony Award-nominated songwriter and daughter of legendary lyricist Adolph Green, hosted an evening of music by Leonard Bernstein and his many collaborators.  Ms. Green provided the overview as well as her personal recollections of a family friend.

The collection showcased songs from such famous shows as On The Town, Wonderful Town, Candide and West Side Story.

Especially memorable performances included the following:

Darius de Haas singing “Lucky To Be Me” and showing off a thrilling falcetto.

A haunting rendition of “Lonely Town,” by Tony Yazbeck, along with a great saxophone accompaniment.

Mikaela Bennet delivering a hilarious “One Hundred Easy Ways to Lose A Man.”

Tony Yazbeck and Mikaela Bennett in “One Hand, One Heart” and “Tonight.”

Concluding the evening was an ensemble presentation of “Some Other Time” which left us wishing for more.

Musical kudos to Steve Kenyon with his luscious reeds and Erik Charlston who was particularly delightful on percussion in “Something’s Coming.”
